🤖Digital autonomy: a collective strategy for anti-fascist resistance (in french)
Workshop by Ilot, a GRIP-UQAM working group
💿 Given the growing role played by large digital companies in the surveillance and repression of social movements, it is necessary to work collectively to establish autonomous digital tools that serve our political projects, exist outside of the major platforms, and allow us to become autonomous from them. Beyond individual digital security solutions (Signal, VPN, etc.), this workshop seeks to propose collective digital autonomy as a means of resistance to technofascism.
💻 Where: UQAM, J-M400 (accessible from the Berri-UQAM metro station)
💾 When: Wednesday, March 25 at 3 p.m.
🌱 Cultivating autonomy, destroying fascism
This workshop is part of GRIP-UQAM's social ecology week, organized in solidarity with the CRUES strike against austerity.
Faced with the rise of authoritarianism, the acceleration of social and ecological crises, and the proliferation of strategies of control and repression, it is becoming urgent to increase the number of spaces for reflection and collective organization. Fascism does not only arise in political institutions: it also spreads through economic structures, technological tools, the repression of social movements, and the exploitation of territory. And yes, in austerity too.
